Victory! The Gosford Library Building Will Not Be Demolished.

Dear Signatories,
I have incredible news! Thanks to the overwhelming support of the 4,100 of you who signed this petition, (there was a paper petition as well as an online petition) and the advocacy of 34 community groups, the Central Coast Council has officially decided the Gosford Library building will not be demolished.
This is a monumental victory for our community and a powerful testament to what we can achieve when we stand together. Your voices were heard loud and clear. Your signatures provided the undeniable evidence that our community values its heritage and wants to see this building saved.
For now, the building is safe. But this is the beginning of the next chapter, not the end of the story. The next goal is to ensure the building is properly heritage-listed and repurposed into a vibrant community asset for generations to come.
I am so humbled and thankful for your support. This success belongs to all of us.
Thank you for making this possible.
With sincere appreciation,
Joy Cooper
