If we do not raise enough funds to legally oppose the Menlo Park City Council, this flawed downtown parking-lots-for-housing plan will happen and Menlo Park will be forever changed for the worse. At last week’s City Council meeting, the majority of Council would not even consider analyzing a better and larger site, the Civic Center. The Council made it clear they are focused only on the downtown parking lots to build 345+ units of high-density affordable housing in up to 10 story towers, seizing the existing 556 public parking spaces in the process.

The GoFundMe has raised almost $125,000 in the 2 weeks since it has been launched. The majority of initial donations came from downtown property owners, but we need everyone that cares about Menlo Park to donate, regardless if you’re a resident, business/property owner, family, public school parent, or downtown shopper/visitor.

We are not asking you to donate $1000 or $500 - although that would be great! - but even a $100 donation would be appreciated and very impactful! If this project goes through, it will harm downtown and all Menlo Park forever, and there will be no going back. We have to be adequately funded and prepared to fight this now and into the future!
