Hi everyone,

QUT has released some of the findings of its review into the Performing Arts faculty. They have already announced a series of cuts, including a gutting of the dance program. It is exactly as we feared - the review was about finding excuses for QUT to cut courses and staff, and restructure in the name of more profits, to the detriment of students.

The review is even explicit in calling for staff to be more attuned to the need for QUT to make profits.

We need to take a stand against the corporate university. I am hosting a forum for students and staff who oppose the cuts on Wednesday 30/4, at 1pm at the Gardens Point campus. It will be in S block, room 304.
