Stop the Creation of an Event Center in Eagle, ID
Stop the Creation of an Event Center in Eagle, ID
The Issue
This petition is to address the proposed Bruneel Vineyard Event Center (4952 Gooder John Lane) in our neighborhood located off Homer Road near Linder Road.
The proposed Event Center will lead to increased traffic congestion, noise pollution, and the potential decrease in our property values. The increased traffic poses additional danger due to the increased reality of intoxicated drivers.
The current requests of the proposed Bruneel Vineyard Event Center:
- up to 250 guests allowed (not including staff) 16 times per year, no more than 2 times per month
- up to 100 guests allowed (not including staff) 365 days per year
- Hours of operation:
- 10am - 8pm Sunday thru Thursday
- 10am - midnight Friday & Saturday
- **these are event start and end times, not accounting for hours of event set-up/break down or actual departure of guests
Our community is known for its peaceful environment and family-friendly atmosphere. An event center will disrupt this balance and negatively impact our quality of life.
We are not looking to stop someone's ability to create a winery or have smaller tasting events but large parties of 250 plus attendees (including staff) would drastically change the quiet and peaceful community we all decided to live in.
We urge the city council to reconsider this project for the well-being of all residents. Please sign this petition to protect our neighborhood!
