On the 19th of November 2023, we tragically lost Dylan Houghton in an accident. Around the tree where this happened, family and friends have created a memorial that has become a safe space for many. This memorial is well-maintained and does not cause any harm or mess; it brings color and light to the area. The council's decision to remove it has already caused significant heartbreak for Dylan’s mum and family. Removing this memorial would severely impact our grieving process as it is a place where we feel close to Dylan.
