Keep Corstorphine streets open for all. Stop the LTN.

We, the undersigned, unequivocally reject and object to Edinburgh Council’s scheme to create a Low Traffic Neighbourhood and road closures in the Corstorphine and Carrick Knowe areas.

The Corstorphine LTN consultation results published in August 2021, showed that respondents opposed the LTN. See Appendix 7:

The council have ignored us and have begun to introduce it anyway. Roads and junctions have been closed already, making our journeys longer and forcing traffic onto roads that are already over capacity. This is a badly designed scheme.

Our Councillors have a duty of care to ensure democratic engagement is upheld. They are failing in their duty to accept community engagement response to the consultation. 

We feel that the Council has blatantly disregarded the democratic wishes of Corstorphine residents and for the avoidance of doubt we call on the council to immediately cancel the LTN and related proposals for Corstorphine and return all areas to their original state. We demand that the democratic will of the majority of respondents must be respected.
