Stop the construction of Glentham 2 anaerobic digester plant

The Issue

VIDA Bioenergy wants to build an anaerobic digester plant which will cover a 30-acre site, industrialising the local countryside and filling our air with noise and nuisance odours. The big problem is it needs up to 333 HGVs per day to operate and the local road infrastructure simply won’t cope.

This surge in HGV movements would bring about an unsustainable level of traffic congestion, posing significant safety risks and environmental concerns for all of us who call this place home.

The increase in HGV traffic would not only compromise road safety, putting pedestrians, cyclists, and other drivers at risk, but it would also contribute to the deterioration of our road infrastructure.

The environmental impact of this project cannot be ignored. The constant movement of HGVs, known for their considerable emissions, would exacerbate air and noise pollution in our vicinity. These pollutants could have detrimental effects on our health and well-being, affecting the quality of life for everyone, especially vulnerable groups such as children and the elderly.
