A big thank you, for your support and taking up your democratic right to be heard whilst helping our community to help ourselves and build resilient.

You may have heard about the government's Leveling Up policy, hailed to be the means by which, the gaping social and economic inequalities can get a leg up,

well... what's that mean?

The local and national transformation of health and social care, means there will be big! changes in structures, policies and procedures within housing, the NHS and social care service delivery.

Leveling up, at local level, should aim to created a level playing field, to help everyone to engage with and challenge, if necessary.

Independent information, advise/signposting and support needs to be available and accessible to ALL community members, underpinned by support to engage and navigate  structures, when required.

Services must be monitored, measured and evaluated based on outcomes to the service user/beneficiary, rather than how many people have contacted a service or have been provided with printed information but not given support to engage with all the new changes

I've found an apparent trend amongst local authorities, opting for the CAB's as the preferred advice provider.  This is worrying because many will keep falling through, the ever widening gaps.

Let's keep this petition going and keep sharing

If there are residents from other boroughs experiencing this issue may be we can get together and build awareness whilst supporting eachother to be heard and make change.

Wishing you all a good week,

And keep sharing
