The SAC is not only the beating heart of all SISD Competitive High School Swimmers. It is also a fountain of youth for the elderly, a place where they go to soothe their pain and reinforce their muscles through aquatic exercise. It's an aquatic school where the young are taught to swim, to be safe, and to respect the water. It's a small summer resort, a place where families can enjoy a safe and fun day in the sun. It's a sanctuary for my daughter and all her swim buddies who train daily.

The SISD Board of Trustees is considering closing this center in order to make a small dent in the $33 million dollar deficit they have created. Their selfishness and inability to manage funds have placed several necessary and important programs on the chopping board.

Closing SAC would deprive our community of these vital benefits. We must act now to save this invaluable resource for current and future generations! Please sign this petition to keep SAC open!
