I am writing to urgently draw attention to a matter that critically impacts our community and its environmental and social fabric.  The beloved Sportsman Bowling Alley (aka The Tipsy Bull) a cornerstone family venue is going to be sold and an application for Change of Use has been applied for to turn it into an indoor gun range. We feel this  threatens both the local heritage and the wellbeing of our environment.

Ziggy's Haven Bird Sanctuary: Located adjacent to the bowling alley, this sanctuary provides care and rehabilitation for rescued parrots as well as other animals such as dogs, horses and farm animals.  The environmental impact associated with a gun range will severely affect the wellbeing and health of these sensitive animals, potentially leading to distress and a decline in health and wellbeing of animals that have already suffered.   

The bowling alley has served as a family friendly recreational center for decades. Transforming it into a gun range only strips our community of a wholesome gathering spot.

Local Residents: the proposed development could alter the character of the neighborhood, potentially affecting neighborhood property values and community safety.

What is at stake:  the health and well being of the parrots at Ziggy's haven, with a negative impact on air quality and environmental toxins  from the venting of the range air system.
