The proposed change of use for 44 Dorchester Road, Stourbridge, DY9 0XB from a residential dwelling to a children’s home is concerning. This plan aims to house up to five children aged 8-16 with learning difficulties and emotional trauma in a five-bedroom, one-bathroom property. The transformation into a profit-making business raises significant issues regarding the adequacy of space, resources and care for these vulnerable children.  With also issues around parking, increased traffic and disturbance impacting neighbouring residents; many of which are elderly.  We urge local authorities to reconsider this proposal and maintain the property as a residential dwelling.
