Stop the C2 Commercial Zoning Change at Old Perry Rd/Hwy 127 in Kathleen, GA

Our family has been living peacefully in our home in Kathleen, GA for 52 years. There are many families that have lived here for 20 years or more. There is one family farm that's been here for over 100 years. The tranquility of our neighborhood is now under threat due to a proposed zoning change by a developer. This change would transform the grass pasture next to our home from "R-AG" Residential/Agricultural to "C2" Commercial property without an official explanation of what is planned for this property.

This proposal not only disrupts our quiet community but also threatens the character of Kathleen itself. Our neighborhood is known for its rural charm, not commercial sprawl. According to a study by the American Planning Association, such zoning changes can lead to increased traffic congestion, accidents, noise and light pollution, negatively impacting residents' quality of life and property values.

We understand that development is necessary for economic growth. However, it should not come at the expense of existing residents' peace and comfort. We urge local authorities in Warner Robins, GA to deny this zoning change and protect our residential neighborhoods.
