Hi all,

We hope you are all well.

This is firstly a reminder that the 2nd public consultation regarding the development of the Swan Centre and Bull Hill is taking place now.We have already had an online webinar on Monday night and this is being followed up with 2 drop in sessions to be held in the old Clinton Cards shop unit in the Swan Centre.
Thursday the 13th March 2025 from 2pm until 8pm
Saturday the 15th March 2025 from 10am until 4pm
We would encourage and implore as many people to attend on both days to raise questions, air objection or positive feedback if there is something you like. But this is the last chance to have your say, have your voice heard before the Leret Partnership/Transform Leatherhead take this to planning to get permission to build it.
Following these two drop-in sessions questions can still be submitted via email and post until the 24th March 2025...so you can see why we say this is it!

(Attached are 2 screenshots from the webinar; 1 shows the view from Fetcham up Waterways Road up to the junction with the sorting office - this really shows the height and impact of the tower blocks; the 2nd shows a view from the bottom of the Station along Randalls Road towards Oaks Close, with the side of the proposed monstrosity of the multi storey carpark and the proposed Health Hub basically right where the drains overflow and spill sewage regularly.)

If you missed the webinar on Monday, we would seriously recommend you watch it. Not sure if it has been made available yet, however here is a web link to the Leret Partnership site - Keep in Touch with Latest News - The Leret Partnership - Commonplace

Following the invitation to meet with the Leret Partnership, we have had some communication and there will be a meeting on the 13th of March 2025 at 1pm - a full 1 hour before the Drop-in sessions opens officially to the public. We feel this is nothing but a tick box exercise for the Leret Partnership. The long and short of it is they have stipulated that they can only accomodate 4 people and the meeting is where it is. We did email them asking for the meeting to take place in the Red House Gardens and the amount of people they could accommodate was also questioned....4 people out of 1800 petitioners is pretty poor! However, we thought that we should still attend and a group of 4 people will be attending to ask questions and see what they have to say??

If people would like to see the email chain concerning this meeting, we can show you, we didn't want to add it to this email as it would become too long!

We will also have some more news really soon concerning moving the group forward, getting some real advice and how this may be funded. We are trying to keep you all as up-to-date as we can. Sometimes it is easier to answer any queries as a whole group rather than individually because of time, but be assured we are pushing things and want all of this to have a result for Leatherhead that is right for Leatherhead.

So to confirm....we all need as many people to attend the drop-in sessions as possible. THIS IS IMPORTANT and the LAST CHANCE. So pass it on to everyone, neighbours, friends, the postie and the people serving you in Tescos, everyone. This development will affect everyone in Leatherhead and the surrounding areas, you do have a voice, you will be heard.

Kind regards
Save Bull Hill
