Hi everyone! Today, six of us have been to Kardamyli to hand over the petition in paper to the Mayor of Dytiki Mani, Mr. Δημήτριος Σ. Γιαννημάρας . He was a bit critical at first, but understood the need to do something about the infrastructure. Regarding a building stop, he of course pointed out that this is not in his power as local Mayor, which is why the petition is also going to the upper levels of state authority , Messinia and Peloponnese. But he also could not explain how all these additional houses will have water and other civil infrastructure services. To some extent, we discussed the unacceptable water situation, and he admitted that there have been all kinds of problems, which his administration is trying to fix. In addition, Dytiki Mani Municipality has, he said, commissioned studies by the Technical University in Athens and has also signed a contract for a substantial upgrade of the water supply situation. The technical promise is that all water problems in the area can be solved. This project, however, will take years to implement Anyway, I think the points mentioned in the petition have been made very clear and we were promised an compreensive, wrtitten response. From this, I suggest it is fair to say that the petition has been a success and can be closed now On behalf of everyone who signed I thank all those who have participated, signed and shared comments. The signatures and the comments have been attached to the petition document that has been sent to all the officials mentioned . Kind regards Johann/Jowi
