As a lifelong animal lover, I have had the privilege to meet both domesticated and stray dogs. It is an experience that has taught me that every dog, irrespective of their circumstances, is capable of providing unconditional love and companionship. Strays are just as loving as our canine companions at home. It is this understanding that prompts me to raise awareness about the inhumane culling of 3,000,000 stray dogs in Morocco, conducted in an attempt to "clean the streets" for the 2030 FIFA World Cup. 

Dogs are set to be inhumanely beaten up. Shame on anyone who supports this, it should be stopped immediately.

The mass extermination of innocent, helpless animals in the name of an event that is supposed to promote unity and sporting spirit is paradoxical and a gross violation of animal rights. Stray dogs, like all living beings, have a right to life and we have no right, nor justification, to rob them of it.

I urge all of you to take a stand against this practice. Let us not be spectators to such cruelty. Let your voice be heard and put pressure on the authorities to stop this inhumane act and treat the poor pups with respect.
