Petition updateStop the barbaric cruelty!Brumby Campaigner to Run for Parliament

Despite the Alpine Park Management Plan for Brumbies prioritising rehoming, Parks Victoria, without warning,  and without informing rehomers who had been approved under Expressions of Interest, recently shot Brumbies in both Benambra and Bogong High Plains.

Evidence contained in forensic photos taken immediately after the shooting in Benambra indicates the Brumbies died  long drawn out deaths in breach of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. Standard Operating Procedures were thrown out the window by Parks Victoria.

RSPCA at the instigation of Brumby Action Group are investigating the cruelty and the matter is ongoing. It is hoped that Parks Victoria will be and should be prosecuted for cruelty.

Marilyn Nuske Lawyer, and Brumby Campaigner,  founder of Brumby Action Group Incorporated, is running for Parliament in the Northern Region Victoria.

One of her  platforms is  to bring an end to the barbaric and cruel shooting of Victrorian Brumbies and, if elected will fight in Parliament to see Legislation she has been calling for for over three years, to be  finally introduced. She will fight for a genuine Brumby Count first up, so that any decisions made are based on real numbers, not unicorn numbers.

She will also fight for State funding for all equine rehoming organisations.

She is  fighting for the end of the Andrews Government cruelty toward Australian Wildlife.

Another of her platforms is the outrageous neglect of public and social housing in regional Victoria. At this time, families, women fleeing domestic violence and older women who might otherwise be approved for public or social housing are living on the streets or sleeping in their cars.  Private Housing in regional Victoria is limited and over-priced. This is unacceptable.

If elected she will call for the "Windfall Tax" introduced by the Andrews Government for all new regional Victorian housing estate subdivisions to be redirected toward social and public housing in regional Victoria. Not siphoned off to support the exorbinant and unnecessary spending on a rail loop for Urban Melbourne. This is not a new tax, it is the Andrew's Government plan and will commence in 2023.

If you live in Northern Region  Victoria and you want to see Brumbies have a real Voice in Parliament, please Vote Marilyn Nuske Independent Candidate No 1 for Welfare and Wildlife. Or let your friends know.
