We are asking you to sign a Commonwealth ePetition today! SCROLL TO THE END TO SIGN.

Wild-living brumbies, are an iconic part of Australia’s cultural and social history. Many are descendants of Australia’s War Horse sent to the Boer War and World War 1, honoured by all Australians and lighthorsemen, and are facing archaic cruel and inhumane aerial and ground shooting in States and Territories,  causing protracted cruel deaths

Culling is taking place in foaling season causing foals to be left out of trap yards, dying slowly of starvation or crushed underfoot.

Brumby management based on flawed policy informed by bureaucracies that support outdated population survey methodology, is unsuitable for moving animals, report false numbers, and rely on false damage claims, unsupported by peer reviewed science, must be abandoned in favour of Commonwealth Legislation.

Wild living brumbies contribute to ecological biodiversity, spreading good seeds to support grass regrowth after wildfires,  creating habitat for small creatures and create tracks reducing wildfires.

Worldwide, progressive governments are reintroducing wild horses to environments wherever previously removed to tackle climate damage.

States and Territories across Australia are failing their duty to brumbies as part of our cultural and social history,  and failing to recognise brumbies as sentient creatures deserving humane management that excludes archaic aerial and ground shooting, unnecessary when there are humane ways of controlling and managing brumby populations.

We are calling on the Commonwealth Government to intervene and stop this madness with the creation of Commonwealth Legislation.

We only have until 16 March 2022 to collect and present signatures. Please add your voice to protect our Heritage Australian Brumbies
