Brumby Action Group are holding a further Rally on 4 June 2021 at 11.30am to protest the threat of   shooting  Brumbies in all 3  Victorian National Parks.  The Rally is to be held at the electoral office of Lily D'Ambrosio in Mill Park.

PLEASE JOIN US and WALK WITH US TO THE MINISTER'S OFFICE TO BE HEARD!  Bring banners, drums, noise making instruments, be ready to chant and be heard!

STOP THE BULLETS!

We are calling upon the Andrews Government to immediately shelve any plans to shoot Brumbies in Barmah National Park, Alpine National Park or Bogong High Plains, and  to  listen to the Opposition Party who support the enactment of Legislation to protect and conserve Heritage Brumbies for all future generations, by retaining sustainable managed mobs in all 3 key areas, protecting Brumbies and the environment.

At the Rally on 5 May, the Leader of the Opposition Michael O'Brien  called upon the Andrews Government   to immediately stop their ghoulish plans to shoot Brumbies from ground or moving helicopters. We must not allow this abomination to happen. It will be cruel, a brumby bloodbath as 500 Brumbies are gunned down in Eastern Alps, 100 in Barmah National Park.

"And we wont tell you when" say Parks Victoria.

The Andrews Government have made it clear that shooting by ground or aerial cull from moving helicopters is on their cruel and inhumane agenda

A successful rally to present a Petition with over 177,000 signatures of people who oppose Brumbies being shot, was held on the steps of Parliament House on 5 May,  but the Minister for Environment, Lily D'Ambrosio did not turn up to take delivery of the Petition.   In her place, the Leader of the Opposition, Michael O'Brien accepted the Petition and made it clear, the Opposition oppose the cruel proposals put forward by the Andrews Government and advocated for Science not slaughter, Care not Cull said Michael O'Brien.

There is no reason for Brumbies to be shot or removed if Legislation for the conservation of managed sustainable mobs were in place. A win/win for all, especially the Brumbies who are facing the cruel fate of either ground or aerial shooting from moving helicopters.

Brumbies have lived in National Parks with native wildlife for two centuries, claims of not letting native wildlife "survive" are nonsensical and false.

Please join us at Lily D'Ambrosio's office at 11.30am on 4 June to make your voice heard.
