PLEASE  help us to STOP the planned MASS SLAUGHTER of  Victorian Heritage Brumbies using night sniper shooting in the Bogong High Plains and Eastern Alps on 18th May 2020. 

Despite Parks Victoria claims  Brumby numbers are "out of control" there has in fact been no number counts taken post  wildfires  in Victoria in December 2019 and these claims are strenuously denied.  Many species died during the bush fires and there is no reason to believe that many Brumbies also did not peril during the bush fires.  

WE DEMAND AN IMMEDIATE NUMBERS COUNT BE TAKEN BEFORE ANY ACTION OF ANY NATURE IS TAKEN

There is no rational reason for this cruel treatment of our Heritage Brumbies. Alternative proposals have been put forward regarding fertility control and sanctuaries are offering to rehome, if necessary.

Parks Victoria management plan undertook that no brumbies would be shot or that any action would be taken without community consultation and this has not taken place!

The proposal to night shoot Heritage Brumbies is outrageous, is a sleight of hand by Parks Victoria and is strenuously opposed by Australians and is now attracting international derision.

The nature of the proposed mass slaughter is  nothing less than potentially an act of gross cruelty with Brumbies taken by surprise in the night, mares in foal will run, foals will be crushed, yearlings will be harmed or shot and stallions will try to protect the mob. Night shooting is not accurate, many Brumbies will be left to die slowly in pain during the night. 

This international scandal is now under the microscope.
