Despite Parks Victoria "Feral Horse Plan" specifically excluding plans to shoot Brumbies, a recent announcement that Parks Victoria propose to target Victorian Brumbies in the Bogong High Plains and Eastern Alps, at night with sniper style guns, has taken Brumby Groups and the Public by shock. This sleight of hand is outrageous and shows how misleading and dishonest the original plan actually was.Such an about face is unacceptable. 

The Bogong High Plains Brumbies  are ancestors of Brumbies living in that area for over 150 years and are being firstly targeted for extinction.  This unique bloodline is at risk of being wiped out completely if this goes forward. The Eastern Alps are being targeted for a massive reduction in numbers by sniper bullets at night. Innaccurate night shooting  will leave many brumbies writhing in pain suffering a long painful and drawn out death.

Please write to the Minister who represents you in Parliament, ask that they speak with Daniel Andrews and Lily D'Ambrosio to intervene in this National disgrace at managing our National Parks and Heritage Brumbies.

It is imperative  the Victorian State Government adopt fertility control to manage Brumbies in our National Parks. We cannot keep condoning the use of antiquated and cruel measures for National Parks Management. It is unacceptable and simply does not work. We the constituents DEMAND BETTER for our Heritage Brumbies.

It is imperative that Parks Victoria engage in community consultation with Brumby Groups to extend re-homing opportunities. Please share this Petition, we hope to introduce a Bill into Parliament shortly and we need to increase numbers to this Petition. The Brumbies are relying on you.
