The Issue

LTC Michael Kelvington is a well-respected, decorated combat veteran with 14 deployments, a Bronze Star with Valor, two Purple Hearts, and 20 years of honorable service.

But today, his name, career, and medical retirement are being destroyed by a broken and politically motivated military justice system that has abandoned due process in favor of optics and ideology.

What began as a baseless, anonymous complaint during his time as Professor of Military Science at The Ohio State University spiraled into a coordinated attempt to “cancel” him. Despite initial sworn statements clearing him of any wrongdoing, Army Cadet Command moved forward anyway, ignoring exculpatory evidence, burying the truth, and rewriting completed investigations to fit their preferred narrative.

The Army violated Rule for Courts-Martial 707 (the military’s equivalent of the Sixth Amendment right to a speedy trial) by more than 100 days. He has been denied the opportunity to medically retire despite undergoing major surgeries and carrying the physical and emotional wounds of two decades of combat. His family has suffered in silence while the system designed to protect its own discarded him for political convenience.

This is more than one man’s story. This is about every service member who risks being collateral damage in an institution that has lost its moral compass.

We, the undersigned, demand:

✅ Immediate dismissal of all charges against LTC Kelvington
✅ Full restoration of his right to medical retirement with honor
✅ A formal congressional inquiry into Cadet Command and JAG conduct
✅ Accountability for Army leadership who violated due process
✅ Reform to ensure DEI initiatives and judicial tools are never again weaponized

The Army taught LTC Kelvington to fight for what is right. It’s time we fight for him.

If this can happen to a well-respected man, father, Veteran, and community member, it can happen to anyone. Let’s restore justice and honor where it’s due.
