The Issue

Do you want our utility bills greatly increase, our clean drinking water having forever chemicals dumped in them, power surges and water pressure issues, a very loud sound impact, decrease of property values, and over 500 acres of land used for greed? This is a reality that could come true if the development of an AI Data Processing Center proceeds in our community. It's more than just a project; it's a dire threat to the environment that impacts every facet of our lives.

The proposed AI Data Processing Center will consume massive amounts of clean drinking water and gas.  This development will impact our limited resources.

Air quality is another significant concern. Data processing centers require vast amounts of energy, much of which is generated through fossil fuels. This center will increase carbon emissions significantly, contributing to poor air quality and exacerbating global warming. Do we want our legacy to be tainted with the stain of contributing to climate change when viable alternatives exist?

Energy consumption is at the core of this issue. The center will demand enormous energy supplies, potentially diverting energy away from Tulsa's residential and other essential needs. This is not just a sustainability issue but a fairness issue for all residents.

Several cities worldwide have started transitioning to greener technologies, reevaluating projects of this nature. Oklahoma can be a leader in this regard, embracing sustainable technologies that do not compromise our environmental integrity. We need to prioritize projects that align with a vision for a healthier planet.

Sign this petition to urge decision-makers in Tulsa to not build the data center and seek alternative solutions that safeguard our precious natural resources and ensure a sustainable future for generations to come.
