The looming specter of nuclear warfare is an ever-present nightmare, and the possibility of it becoming reality grows with the continued aggression and conflict in Western Asia. It is critically imperative that we address the escalating tensions arising from the illegal and unprovoked attack by the United States of America and by Israel on the Islamic Republic of Iran. 

The potential use of nuclear weapons in this conflict, should it continue to spiral out of control, would not only devastate the region but also have catastrophic global consequences. The world cannot afford another nuclear crisis, one that would inflict unimaginable destruction and long-lasting environmental, economic, and human harm.

Decisive action is required to halt this dangerous trajectory. Therefore we, the citizens of the global south and north, and of both the east and west, in fear of the potential nuclear holocaust caused and prompted by the illegal and unprovoked attack by two nuclear powers on a sovereign state, in direct opposition to all international laws including the UN Charter, and contrary to human decency, are united in calling for the immediate impeachment of Donald Trump, President of the United States of America and prosecution of all officials involved and of the arrest and prosecution of Bibi Netanyahu, Prime Minister of the State of Israel and all military, political and economic officials responsible for the illegal unprovoked act of aggression against the sovereign countries of Iran and of Lebanon which has brought the world to the brink of disaster.

Furthermore we call upon world leaders to commit to dialogue and diplomatic avenues to resolve their differences rather than resorting to violence and warfare. The international community, including global organisations and legal and judicial agencies such as the ICJ, ICC and ICHR, must reinforce this commitment by facilitating peace talks and ensuring that all parties adhere to international law, respect sovereignty, and prioritize peace over conflict.

Not only is it crucial to prevent further escalation, but it is also essential to address the underlying issues that led to this brink of disaster. This includes fostering understanding and cooperation between nations, addressing grievances in fair and just manners, and prioritizing human rights above all else regardless of religious conviction, ethnicity or cultural background.

This petition futher calls upon international bodies such as the United Nations, influential governments, and all parties involved to immediately de-escalate tensions and take every conceivable step to avert nuclear conflict. Together, we must stand united in our plea for peace and rationality, ensuring a safe future for the generations to come.
