Unfortunately... I am back again to provide an update to those of you who may not be aware. 

The owner of the 84+ acre field on Lawrence Road has now applied for a "Special Use Permit" which would allow for the buildout of recreational facilities on the property.

Just a quick recap: 1) All of Hillsborough's Town Commissioners, 2) the vast majority of the members of the Orange County Planning Board, 3) all of the voting members of the Orange County Board of Commissioners and finally 4) you all have made it clear that this property is plain and simply not the right location for this type of endeavor. Nonetheless, here we go again but this time the matter will be evaluated and ultimately ruled on by the Orange County Board of Adjustment (scheduled on 10/11). There will also be a neighborhood information meeting this coming Tuesday (8/15) at 6:00PM - Orange County Main Library, 137 W. Margaret Lane, Hillsborough

Regretfully I am having to have to send this update to you all in the first place but, unfortunately, we are where we are.
