300 West Tryon St, Hillsborough (Whitted Building) at 7PM (feel free to wear a red shirt as a symbol of our opposition)

If you need ideas to guide your public comments, I suggest you just focus your thoughts around why this rezoning request fails to meet any of the following Board of County Commissioners "Planning Principles":

Item 1: “Efficient and fiscally responsible provision of public facilities and services.”

Item 2: “Sustainable growth and development”.

Item 3A: “Encouragement of energy efficiency, lower energy consumption and the use of non-polluting renewable energy resources”.

Item 3B: “Promotion of both air quality protection and the development of an effective transportation system”.

Item 4: “Natural area preservation”.

Item 5: “Preservation of rural land use pattern”.

Item 6: “Water resources preservation”.

Item 7: “Promotion of economic prosperity and diversity”.

Item 8: “Preservation of community character”.

Also, the Board of County Commissioners will continue to accept your email letters (see email address below) but that will end on June 6th.
