As signatures grow, so does oppposition

Despite reassurance from the NBA, there is still lots of critical opposition against this project. In fact, the city council has not approved of the project. And I doubt that they ever will. It would be a complete waste of space, time, and money. I can't even imagine the gridlock in Center City for traffic to 76ers games. Plus Philadelphia is already in enough financial trouble, and this new proposed arena would devastate local businesses as well as worsen homelessness in Philadelphia. Why the hell can't the Philadelphia 76ers just STAY at the Wells Fargo Center?! It's arbitrary and ridiculous.
Below are several news articles explaining the opposition.

And what purpose what it serve other than a basketball arena? Off season, there would be absolutely no use for it, because several concert and performing arts venues are located nearby, such as the Kimmel Center.
We must stop the NBA before they do something stupid.
By the end of October, I expect at least 1,000 signatures or more on this petition as well as this one: https://www.change.org/p/amendment-xxviii-common-sense-gun-control-laws?recruiter=1087436029&recruited_by_id=385d8db0-915e-11ea-aec8-e58d8675c320&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=copylink&utm_campaign=petition_dashboard
