Hey everybody,
The council has made some minor tweaks to the ETRO, including extending loading times and allowing more business permits, but this still isn’t good enough for what we need. While these small changes help slightly on match days, they do nothing to address the core issue—the unnecessary restrictions in place 365 days a year, even when there are no events at the stadium. Until non-match day restrictions are completely removed, affected businesses and residents will continue to suffer.
Last week, MP Kim Johnson visited the venue and is fully supportive of what we’re campaigning for. Off the back of this, we now have a meeting this Thursday with the council, Everton FC, and local businesses in the affected area to push for real change.
To reassure our customers, we’ve introduced a Parking Protection Promise—we will cover any parking fines issued to customers while attending our events. We refuse to let these unfair restrictions stop people from visiting. More details can be found here
If you’re a business owner in the affected area and would like to attend the meeting, please email paul@hotwatercomedy.co.uk with your name and the business you represent, and I’ll send over the details.
There is also a WhatsApp group with all affected businesses owners in so please email paul@hotwatercomedy.co.uk if you would like to be added to this.
MP Kim Johnson would also like to hear directly from residents and businesses who have been impacted. You can contact her at kim.johnson.mp@parliament.uk to share the impact on your business.
For those residents and businesses who want to email Liverpool City Council direct with the feedback on the overall scheme please fill out this survey or email the direct here
Thanks for all your support so far—we’re not stopping until this is sorted.
