📢 Sign Now to Demand Liverpool City Council Delays This Damaging Policy Before February 17th!

Liverpool City Council is introducing new parking restrictions that they claim are for ‘match-day parking’ – but in reality, these restrictions will apply 365 days a year from 8AM to Midnight.

Most businesses in the affected area have had no prior consultation about this, yet over 3,000 businesses and more than 30,000 staff members will lose access to essential parking near their workplaces.

🚨 These restrictions are due to start on February 17th – THIS MUST BE DELAYED! 🚨

Between now and the new football season in August 2025, there are only three test matches at the new stadium. That means the Council is enforcing nearly six months of 365-day parking restrictions for just three single events!

Many businesses have been in the area for over 50 years, yet most were never consulted before these restrictions were introduced. Only now, after parking restriction signs have gone up, are businesses and residents realising the devastating impact this will have.

This policy will kill businesses, risk jobs, is unfair to residents, and put late-night workers in danger—and we must act now to delay this before February 17th!

🚨 Why This Must Be Reversed:

🚫 Marketed as ‘match-day parking’ but actually applies 365 days a year – These restrictions are NOT limited to match days, despite the Council’s claims.

🚫 Most businesses had NO prior consultation – The Council has imposed this without giving businesses a say, and now they are being forced to adapt to devastating changes.

🚫 Over 3,000 businesses affected – Some have been in the area for decades, but the Council has not consulted them properly.

🚫 30,000+ staff can no longer park near work – With no parking alternatives provided, workers are left stranded.

🚫 Some residents may welcome the new parking scheme, but many areas that needed it were left out. Others now face fewer parking options and just one visitor permit per household, restricting how many visitors they can receive.

🚫 No additional public transport or new car parks – The Council has introduced no viable alternatives for those affected. Where are workers meant to park?

🚫 Local economy under threat – Many businesses have already received customer feedback saying they will no longer be able to visit.

🚫 Unfair conditions for late-night workers – The restrictions apply until midnight, meaning staff working evening and night shifts cannot park near their workplace if they start before midnight.

🚫 Only THREE test matches before August! – Why enforce nearly six months of full restrictions for just three events?

⚠️ What We Are Demanding:

1️⃣ Delay the Parking Restrictions Immediately – The plan must be paused before February 17th for a proper review.

2️⃣ Scrap the 365-Day Blanket Parking Restrictions – Introduce a fair and reasonable solution that considers businesses and residents.

3️⃣ Provide Parking Alternatives for Workers & Residents – While some business parking permits are being offered, they are not a viable solution for many affected businesses. More parking solutions need to be introduced immediately.

4️⃣ Ensure Late-Night Worker Safety – Evening and night staff must not be forced to park dangerously far away due to these unfair restrictions.

5️⃣ Hold an Urgent Proper Consultation – Most businesses and residents had no prior consultation at all. The Council must allow local businesses and residents to give their opinions before enforcing irreversible restrictions.

6️⃣ Attend an Urgent Public Consultation We Have Offered to Host – We have made a venue available for councillors, affected businesses, residents, and representatives from Everton FC – “The People’s Club” to discuss these restrictions and their impact on the community. We demand councillors who made these decisions attend and hear from those affected firsthand.
