Stop Systematic Corruption: WP 23398/2024 - Madras High Court - Tamilnadu - India

The Issue

Stop Systematic Corruption: Stand Against Politicians, Government Officials, Police, and Builder Mafia Nexus -23398/2024

We, the undersigned, call for immediate action to end the deep-rooted nexus of corrupt politicians, government officials, police, and builder mafias that are undermining justice and destroying our society. WP 23398/2024 exposes a widespread pattern of corruption, intimidation, and lawlessness that has affected not only the residents of Daevi Hill View Apartments but also citizens across Tamil Nadu.

This petition specifically addresses the following key issues:

  1. Systematic Corruption in Government Approvals and Regulation
The builder, along with influential politicians and officials, bribed and manipulated authorities to bypass regulations, including tampering with the original approved site plan and engaging in unauthorized constructions. Despite being issued a "Lock and Seal" order by the Salem Corporation for these violations, the builder continues to sell apartments, with the help of bribed sub-registrars and government officials.
  2. Intimidation and Harassment of Property Owners
Owners who raised their voices against the builder’s unlawful actions have faced harassment, defamation suits, and false complaints. Some owners have even received death threats, and the police have refused to act despite numerous complaints. The builder’s actions are meant to silence residents and deter them from seeking justice.
  3. Police and Political Inaction.                                                            Multiple complaints have been submitted by the property owners to the police and authorities since 2019, detailing the criminal actions of the builder and his accomplices. Yet, the police, influenced by political power and bribery, have failed to take any meaningful action. This failure to act threatens the rights of every citizen.
  4. Legal Manipulations and Exploitation of the Judicial System
The builder and Family has weaponized the legal system by filing frivolous lawsuits against the property owners, forcing them to defend themselves while the core issues of fraud, encroachment, and violations remain unresolved. The abuse of legal procedures aims to prolong the corruption and injustice faced by the affected citizens.

We demand the following actions:

  1. Immediate Judicial Investigation
We respectfully request the appointment of a retired High Court judge as an independent Advocate Commissioner to investigate the illegal activities associated with this case and to ensure that the rule of law is upheld
  2. Accountability for Corrupt Officials and Politicians
The nexus of politicians, government officials, and police enabling this corruption must be held accountable. We call for a CBI to investigate and prosecute those involved.
  3. Protection for Property Owners
Those who are fighting for their rights must be protected from harassment, defamation, and threats. Immediate action must be taken to ensure their safety.
  4. Transparency in Real Estate Regulations
Authorities must enforce strict adherence to building approvals, regular inspections, and compliance to prevent future fraudulent activities by builders and developers. Any deviations should be penalized swiftly and severely.
  5. This is more than a local issue; it is a reflection of the broader systematic corruption that plagues our society. We urge concerned citizens, volunteer lawyers, and activists to join us in this fight against corruption. We are fighting not only for the rightful owners of Daevi Hill View Apartments but for every citizen who has been or could be a victim of this corrupt nexus.

Together, we can put an end to this injustice and build a corruption-free future for the next generation.
