At Edmonds Woodway High School, there are assignments generated by AI, posters generated by AI, and slideshows generated by AI while students are told AI is considered plagiarism. AI is harmful for the environment, harmful to communities who live near AI data centers, and makes the schools look bad. In 2025, AI was estimated to produce an equal amount of carbon emissions as New York City. The AI data centers contaminate up to 5 million gallons of water each day harming the ecosystem and local communities who rely on the water the data centers use. Sign this petition to stop EWHS staff from using AI in our school.
