We, the residents of Orland Park, are calling for immediate action to address the ongoing problem of speeding, street racing, and excessive vehicle noise across our community.

For months, vehicles  with modified exhaust systems and high-performance engines have been repeatedly driving through local roads, particularly during evening and late-night hours. Drivers intentionally rev their engines to create loud, amplified noise, causing significant disturbance.

This is not an occasional issue. It happens almost every night, often every few minutes, creating ongoing disruption in residential areas.

Impact on the Community:
- Residents are unable to sleep due to constant noise
- Increased stress, anxiety, and reduced quality of life
- Safety concerns due to speeding and reckless driving
- Ongoing disturbance affecting families and working individuals
- Many residents have reported this issue multiple times, yet the problem continues without a consistent or effective solution.

We Are Requesting the Following Actions:
1) Increased and targeted nighttime police patrols
2) Stronger enforcement of laws related to modified exhausts and reckless driving
3) Implementation of traffic calming measures to reduce speeding
4) Evaluation of noise mitigation solutions, where applicable
5) Collaboration with relevant agencies for long-term solutions
6) This issue has become more than just a nuisance—it is a serious quality-of-life and public safety concern for residents.
