This industry's push to mainstream their products obscures the line between typical household shopping and items traditionally reserved for discreet purchases in specialized stores. While adults seeking these products have the convenience of purchasing them online, where access is typically restricted to those of appropriate age, placing them in grocery stores removes an essential barrier.
