Many of you know what IXL is but if you don’t it’s a learning platform that is the WORST. You progress through a “smartScore” and if you get a question wrong it sets you back a lot and it gets really annoying. Teachers might use this to literally TEACH the lesson and IXL will sometimes use the wrong formula. The worst part is when it says you’re wrong you get set back but when you check the right answer it’s the same thing you put in.

     I get that it’s hard to find a learning website that isn’t going to be expensive, but most teachers just default to ixl. IXL is probably the best option for them, but students can’t be expected to do the same thing over and over with nothing to earn other than the IXL- equivalent to nfts. They could add music to the background or make it more of a game and make it fun instead of what they do. You can work for power-ups that stop you from being set back and other things to make it fun.
