STOP Samsung From Taking Away Consumer Choice for iPhone AND Android Repairs!

The Issue

The majority of independent repair shop part suppliers in the USA have been hit with an ITC 337 complaint from Samsung Display.

Samsung Display wants to effectively BAN all aftermarket OLED displays from entering the USA, including aftermarket iPhone OLED screens. So this doesn't just apply to Samsung parts. Apple parts too!

In their complaint, they are targeting all aftermarket OLED screens that they claim violate their patents. Samsung is asking the government to enforce a general exclusion order, which would apply to everyone, including individual stores buying directly from China.

If Samsung Display wins, that means customers will have no low cost alternative to fix their screens. Prices for basic screen repairs can go up 50-100%, as Samsung Display will effectively become a legal monopoly in the USA with their OLED displays, with no competition to help drive prices down.

If you want more info on the complaint from Samsung Display, Louis Rossmann did a fairly in depth read thorough video that can be found here:

And here:

This can affect many parts of the mobile phone industry, including independent repair shop, screen recyclers, resale values & so much more.

This will create a world where no smaller OLED manufacturer will be able to enter the market, as Samsung Display will be the only one allowed to import OLED displays.

Will you stand with Independent Repair Shops and tell Samsung Display to rescind their complaint?

Will you #QuitSamsung until they change their stance?
