Thousands of NZ High School students are being rostered home each week due to strike action by teachers and the NZPPTA. Year 9-13 students are missing valuable classroom time with their teachers and parents are having to juggle work and supervision yet again.

If this strike action continues, seven days of schooling will be lost this term. How many days will it be in term 3? After three years of disruption to their education because of COVID-19, why are they being penalised again? Why is our children's education being gambled with?

We need to send a message to the NZPPTA and the NZ Ministry of Education that we've had enough. Yes we support teachers in their fight for fair pay and better conditions but our kids education is not yours to use as a political play thing. Stop the rostered days off.
