Thousands of students are affected every day by teachers who fail to uphold their responsibilities as educators and who fail to do what is in the best interest of children.

Education is a right in this country and all of our children not only deserve a quality education, but they deserve to be treated fairly and with respect.

When we have teachers who fail to conduct themselves professionally, who fail to follow policies and procedures and who use their grade book to bully children, they not only violate a sacred position, they deteriorate public trust in our educational system. 

Teachers who do not champion for the success of our children and who do not value our children, do not deserve to be in the classroom.

Silca Munro, an Algebra teacher in Georgia has gone rogue. She failed to follow direct and clear instructions from the Chief/Senior Administrator of the school. She failed to enter the earned grade of a student and when she was directed to do so, she initially refused. She then manipulated a Permanent Grade Record to produce an erroneous "failed" outcome. Despite several corrective conversations with administrators, she chose to erode a child's trust in the education system and break the law.

Grade tampering is a crime, and she intentionally and willfully manipulated grades to produce a F for a child who weeks earlier had just been recognized as an all A Honor Roll student.

Silca allowed her mean spiritedness and unsubstantiated dislike for an adored student to lead her down a dark path.

It is time for Silca to be held accountable and for us to send the collective message that our children will not be abused and bullied with the gradebook!

I need your help in making sure this teacher is removed from the classroom. Someone with this kind of ill will towards my child is unfit to be around any child. What she does to one, she will do to another.

She is a teacher off the rails.
