Stop Robert Gutmann from monopolising Liverpool
Stop Robert Gutmann from monopolising Liverpool
The Issue
Robert Gutmann has been steadily buying up properties to expand his business empire, but this expansion threatens to overshadow the local spirit that makes Liverpool so special. Liverpool deserves more than another chain pub. Additionally, instead of turning every available space into a pub that is an exact replica of all the other Guttman pubs.... let's consider building community hubs, youth centres, and music venues instead. These spaces provide essential services and opportunities for our youth and residents. Strengthening these infrastructures build not only a better Liverpool for today, but also for generations to come. We urge local authorities to intervene by reviewing property sales policies and implementing support systems for local businesses. Creating a fair and balanced marketplace is fundamental to maintaining the integrity and heritage of local culture in Liverpool. I'm calling on all Liverpool residents who value our city's soul to speak out. Say "no" to monopoly and "yes" to a city that supports its independent local businesses!
