Hello Community, fellow residents and commuters
You are hopefully aware there was an announcement made yesterday (Sunday the 19th January 2025) by the Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and the NSW State Premier Chris Minns that ONE BILLION Dollar's has been made available for the upgrade of Fifteenth Avenue from Cowpasture Rd to the new Western Sydney International Airport.

CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE
For too long the Fifteenth Avenue Upgrade has been ignored by previous Federal and State Governments and in my opinion based on my experience it's been because the Liberal Party doesn't like to spend money in what are considered to be safe Labor Party electorates.
The fall of Fowler at the last Federal election to independent MP Dai Le and a number of Liberal Party seats to Teal independents has broken that thinking, with the major political parties coming to the realisation that safe seats are a thing of the past.
I am happy to say that our local politicians at Federal and State level have advocated for funding of the Fifteenth Avenue Upgrade for a number of years as a result this funding commitment has finally been made.
As for the effort of Liverpool City Council, in my opinion based on my experience the Mayor of Liverpool is a Glory Grabbing, attention seeking narcissist who wants to take the credit for everything that goes right and nothing that goes wrong in Liverpool.
The fight for the funding of Fifteenth Avenue has been going on for over a decade that I am aware of and is something I have been advocating for since 2021 with this community petition, and lobbying the local politicians.
It seems that the Mayor of Liverpool is Butt hurt that the current Labor Party Federal and NSW State Governments have provided the funding after it was ignored for so many years by the former Liberal Party Federal and State Govts.
Hopping on the bandwagon with the appointment of a consultant costing ratepayers $100,000 prior to the last council election as a political stunt is NOT what I consider to be sustained campaigning or dialogue as has been claimed in some publications.
Thankfully design work and planning have been commenced by the NSW State Government and this additional funding will assist to get the project completed.
In the meantime there is Elizabeth Drive and Bringelly Rd which provide road access to the Western Sydney International Airport.
