Good Morning Fellow Residents, Ratepayers and Petition Supporters

An official announcement will be made by the Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and NSW Premier Chris Minns today that ONE BILLION DOLLARS will be committed to the upgrade of Fifteenth Avenue.

Lots of work has been done behind the scenes for many years including by Ms Anne Stanley MP for Werriwa and Mr Nathan Hagarty MP for Leppington.

You also need to take the credit for supporting this petition over the last four years and even Liverpool Council who engaged an external consultant at the cost of $100,000 in the lead up to the council election provided some influence.

The federal and New South Wales governments will each fork out $500,000 million to upgrade to a major transit corridor in Western Sydney.

The federal and New South Wales governments will be jointly funding a $1 billion upgrade to a major transit corridor in Western Sydney.

The major infrastructure project will aim to upgrade Fifteenth Ave to create a critical transit corridor from Liverpool to the new Western Sydney International Airport.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and NSW Premier Chris Minns will make the announcement on Sunday, with both governments contributing $500,000 million to the project.

Mr Albanese will say the upgrade will ensure one of the fastest growing regions in NSW is better connected.
“My Government wants Western Sydney to be a gateway to the rest of the world,” Mr Albanese said.

“We want it to thrive as the engine room for jobs, economic growth and opportunity.

“This half a billion dollars’ worth of new funding from the Australian Government is part of our commitment to delivering more resilient infrastructure for all Australians.”

NSW Premier Chris Minns will say the project will also be vital in supporting job growth in the Western Sydney region.

“This critical investment is a game changer for Western Sydney that will connect thousands of jobs at Western Sydney Airport and the Aerotropolis with Liverpool,” Mr Minns said.

“We promised to deliver Fifteenth Avenue and I’m very proud that together with the Albanese Federal Government – we are delivering this project.

“The Aerotropolis has the opportunity to transform Western Sydney and this road link is critical to delivering the jobs of the future in Australia’s fastest growing region.

“Without this critical road we couldn’t deliver the growth and jobs the Aerotropolis has the potential to deliver.”
