Good Morning Fellow Residents, Shop Patrons and Petition Supporters
It seems that we are currently going around in circles while “Investigations Continue” see correspondence from both Transport for NSW and Liverpool City Council
Below is the letter received from Transport for NSW regarding to Hoxton Park Road and Fifteenth Ave Upgrade.
Dear Mr Andjelkovic
Thank you for your correspondence to the Minister for Transport and Roads about Fifteenth Avenue from Cowpasture Road to Western Sydney Airport. As you may appreciate, the Minister receives thousands of items of correspondence each year. Transport for NSW is therefore responding to you directly. I note you also wrote to the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces regarding this matter, and I trust you will accept this as a response to both approaches.
While I appreciate your concern for congestion along this important corridor, Fifteenth Avenue is a Local Road under the care and control of Liverpool City Council. I encourage you to raise your concerns directly with council by calling 1300 362 170 or email lcc@liverpool.nsw.gov.au.
As you are aware, the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment, Liverpool City Council and Transport for NSW are working together to prepare an integrated corridor plan for connecting Liverpool city centre with the Western Sydney Airport and Aerotropolis in the coming decades. This plan is expected to be finalised in 2021. For more information, please visit roads-waterways.transport.nsw.gov.au/projects/hoxton-park-road/index.html
I am advised planning for the Hoxton Park Road upgrade between Banks Road and Cowpasture Road has been paused while this wider investigation for the entire corridor is completed.
I trust this information is of assistance.
Yours sincerely
Terry McSweeney - Principal Manager Ministerial Correspondence
So I emailed the Traffic Manager at LCC and received a reply in June 2021 see below
“Hi Michael,
Thank you for a copy of the correspondence from Terry McSweeney, Principal Manager, Ministerial Correspondence, with advice that, Fifteenth Avenue is a Local Road under the care and control of Council and for the concerns about traffic congestion (along the road) needs to be raised with Council.
The response is consistent with our previous response as currently Fifteenth Avenue is a Local Road.
However, Hoxton Park Road is a classified road under the care and control of Transport for NSW, and our previous responses on the design investigation for the road section, between Banks Road and Cowpasture Road has indicated as such.
As indicated in the TfNSW response, the three agencies (Department of Planning, Industry and Environment, Liverpool City Council and TfNSW) have jointly engaged consultants to prepare an integrated corridor plan for the road corridor between the Liverpool City Centre and the airport. Council is continuing to work with the two agencies for the plan to be finalised and to provide a strategy for the remaining design investigation and staged implementation.
Should you require further information, please contact us again.”
So the waiting for answers continues while the traffic madness continues to get worse.
On another note I am in the process of building a Website – Something that I should have done years ago.
You can view it at www.MichaelAndjelkovic.com where I have uploaded entries to the end of 2018 and will continue to update information until the website is Up to date..
You can also find and follow me on Facebook at www.facebook.com/Michael.Independent
There is lots to be done in 2021 and remember that as a TEAM – Together Everyone Achieves More
Hopefully the Investigations will end soon and some action will be taken to widen Fifteenth Ave to cope will the Traffic and decisions will bemade about Hoxton Park Road.
I will keep you informed of any further developments and will continue to call for Funding to be fast tracked to allow the widening to take place.
Yours Sincerely
