The Home Office say they have finally taken on the 'management' of Scampton: Suella Braverman now has the control she needs to start doing the work to get the site ready for Home Office use.

The investors who had promised £300 million of investment and jobs are getting increasingly nervous that the investment will be lost as a result- there was a BBC story just yesterday about it. 

But it's not over yet, the Home Office say they will keep their plans 'under constant review'. Their expensive failures in other parts of the country mean they are vulnerable.
