The start of the Kentucky Derby weekend in Louisville, Kentucky kicks off with a "Rabbit Run." This features a crowd of people drinking  and screaming as rabbits are forced to wear tiny vests and run in a race.

As prey animals this is extremely stressful for them. They easily panic and could severely injure themselves trying to get away or have a heart attack and die from stress. Rabbits are extremely fragile animals. 

The event claims to be the most “hare raising two minutes in sports” and  takes place at Rabbit Hole Distillery -711 E Jefferson St, Louisville, KY on Wednesday, April 30th, from 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM.

Please sign this petition to help put a stop to forcing these gentle creatures to endure tremendous stress so people can “have a good time” chanting and yelling. Rabbits are the third most popular pet in the US, but are also amongst the most abandoned, abused and neglected. It’s time to make a change!
