The only country in the world which legalises and encourages puffin hunting is Iceland.  The birds are not killed for food, they are shot for sport.  The 'hunters' proudly display their little bodies with kudos for those who slaughter the greatest number.

Puffins mate for life and usually raise just one chick each season. These people don't care which of the pair they shoot.

The organisation which runs these hunting holidays is called The Icelandic Hunting Club founded in 1994 by Bjorn Birgisson.  Snow geese are another of their targets.  I think the tide is turning against such a sense of entitlement.  Puffins are becoming endangered.  There is no justification for this cruel and pointless massacre.

The next season starts in April.  Please help ensure it does not go ahead.
