Update from John Purchase Primary school P & C

MOBILE PHONE BASE STATION ON PURCHASE RD A matter of concern relating to the health and welfare of our children has been brought to our attention. Optus has provided notice of a proposal to install a cell base station at 49 Purchase Road directly in front of our school as well as the high school. Clearly there are health concerns arising from the very close proximity (about 20 meters) to the schools, when the NSW Department of Education prefers a distance of 500 meters. Our P&C is considering lodging an objection as part of the notification and communication process. Please feel free to circulate this note to anyone you think may be interested.
