The last day to visit the museum as we know and love it is this Sunday 2 October.

Please visit and document what you love about it -draw, photograph, write.

The public consultation will happen while the museum is closed - we will need to remind the council what is special about it to us, their audience. The council have said that ‘all the old favourites’ will be there in 2025. What are your favourites?

It seems from recent instagram posts from the museum that they are now moving towards a sympathetic restoration of the main fabric of the Natural History Gallery which is a huge relief. Though what will be exhibited in it and use of signage and interpretation are still not clear.

And what about the rest of the museum- the Bird Gallery in particular? What are your concerns?
