Thank you so much for your support, I’m glad you love and feel such pride and ownership of the Museum as we do.

I want to make clear- the interior of the building is not being ‘ripped out’, the listed Victorian architecture will remain. It is the proposed decoration, interpretation and signage that is unsympathetic to this architecture, the exhibits and learning that are the cause for concern.

Apparently the drawings published on the museum website are not representative of what will happen in the space- I urge Ipswich Museums to give us clarity on this.

The Museum will not be closing next week - we have time to get to the bottom of what these plans will look like in reality before Autumn 2022 and I hope be able to stop costly or irretrievable mistakes.
