I will be sending Freedom of Info Act requests to police department this week so that a list of complaints and reports of theft an be included to substantiate the claim in this petition.

In this update I am also including a link to a news report (click link below to read that news article) that showed Crow Tow selling cars that had been stolen and then recovered - only to be held hostage demanding the owner pay the fees. 

I expect that crimes against members of the public is actually much worse than is reported to police because Crow Tow forces automobile owners to sign a release stating that no damage has been done and everything is intact prior to the owner seeing their vehicle. This would leave most of us to believe they can’t be held responsible by law and is another example of the bad business practices auto owners in Des Moines have been subjected too.
