We call upon Calderdale Council to withdraw the proposed parking charges for Towngate Car Park, Northowram.

We believe these charges will:

• Harm local businesses by discouraging visitors to the village.

• Penalise residents and workers who rely on the car park for daily access.

• Increase congestion with on-street parking and cause road safety risks at school time.

The proposal was not properly consulted upon and does not reflect the needs of our village.

We ask the Council to:

1. Suspend these charges.
2. Hold a genuine consultation with Northowram residents and businesses.
3. Review the impact on local trade and community life.
