The Issue

I am currently facing life in prison for a crime I did not commit. The most painful aspect of this nightmare is being unjustly separated from my children, an agony that no parent should ever endure. Wrongful convictions destroy lives, not just my own, but also the lives of my innocent children who are deprived of their parent without cause.

Parental alienation is often overlooked in the justice system, leading to significant prejudice and irreversible consequences. In cases like mine, where there is no evidence supporting a conviction, it is crucial for the judicial process to be fair and transparent. I have concrete proof of my innocence, yet I didn't get the opportunity to present it in a court of law. This failure of the system has not only jeopardized my freedom but also robbed my children of their right to family life and stability.

Statistics indicate that wrongful convictions affect thousands of families each year. According to the Innocence Project, over 2,700 people have been exonerated in the United States since 1989, collectively losing more than 24,600 years of life they cannot get back. Parental alienation compounds this tragedy, leaving children to grow up without one of their most fundamental relationships.

To combat this systemic injustice, I urge our legal authorities to review my case with the urgency and fairness it deserves. I also call for a broader reform to prevent parental alienation from influencing legal outcomes. This includes mandating re-evaluation of cases where evidence is inadequate and ensuring that all defendants have the opportunity to present relevant proof of innocence.

Please sign this petition to support not just me, but all families in our community who are threatened by the grave injustice of wrongful convictions and parental alienation. Your signature is a powerful tool in seeking the justice and family unity we all deserve.

Cobb County District Attorney's Office needs a CONVICTION INTEGRITY UNIT to prevent and see into  wrongful convictions.
