Why I am adding the "ECCHO Act" to our fight.
Friends,
Thank you to everyone who has signed and shared this petition so far. Your support has given me the courage to dig deeper.
When I started this petition, I was fighting for the Combating Online Predators Act (H.R. 6719). That bill is critical because it finally treats online threats (like sextortion) as serious crimes.
But over the last 24 hours, I realized something was missing.
My own story wasn't about threats or blackmail. It was about sadistic control. My predator didn't need leverage; he used psychological manipulation to command me to harm myself.
I did some research, and I found the missing piece. It is called the ECCHO Act (Ending Coercion of Children and Harm Online Act).
This newly introduced Senate bill specifically creates a federal crime for "coercing a child into self-harm." It targets the exact nightmare I lived through—where the weapon wasn't a gun, but a command.
I am officially updating this petition to fight for BOTH bills:
The Combating Online Predators Act (House): To stop the threats and blackmail before they start.
The ECCHO Act (Senate): To punish the sadistic coercion that forces children to injure themselves.
We need both shields. One stops the leverage; the other punishes the mind games.
Please share this updated mission. We are not just closing one loophole; we are closing them all.
In Solidarity,
Aspen Brauer
